GO INTO ALL THE WORLD

I was given the opportunity to be one of the first people to read the book "Go into all the world" by: David Chalmers and was asked to give a review of this book.
David and I "virtually" met online when I assisted him in adding Monalisa, Alynne, and Larissa to his large, growing Compassion Family.

First, let me introduce David Chalmers; author of Go Into All The World;

Over the past Easter weekend, I spent time reflecting on Mark 16. When Jesus rose from the dead, he visited his disciples. In Mark 16:15; He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to all creation."

Imagine your last moments with your loved ones. You have a very short time before going to heaven and you are only able to tell them one last thing.  You would not be random in what you said, your last words ever would be the one thing that matters more than any other else. Mark 16:15 is that one thing Jesus wanted us to hear from the innermost depths of the limitless heart of God.

Jesus has called each of us to Go into the world and tell others about Jesus. David found that through Compassion International, he was able to obey that command. He sponsored, he wrote, he prayed, and went into all the world to show these children the love of Jesus.

This book begins as a tutorial on child sponsorship and is a must read for new sponsors and advocates. After you have a clear understanding of the great work being done in the local churches worldwide through Compassion, you walk alongside David into the filthy slums, piled high with child prostitution, drugs, gang violence, hunger, extreme poverty and you discover the beauty, hope, love, and courage found at the Compassion centers where the light of Jesus shines brightly in the midst of the darkest places.
This book is written in a whimsical, candid tone as David experiences a roller coaster of emotions while traveling into the heart of Jesus through the poorest places on earth.
Another great feature of this book is that it is interactive! You can get fully engaged by subscribing to the Go Into All the World Blog, or watch the  Go into all the World You Tube Channel

I invite you to read Go into all the World by David Chalmers. It is available in paperback and e-book version. Next, I challenge you to Sponsor a Child in honor of Jesus' command to "Go into all the world".

  1. Wonderful review, Bev! Now that I've temporarily caught up on my letter writing, I should get cracking and write my own review of David's book!
